FOS Capacity & Border-to-Border Planning

Per-FOS-area inventory for 5-year planning. Zones: P1 and P2. All counts are the active universe (breeding sites, wet catch basins, sections, and assigned Inspectors).

Capacity per FOS area (P1 / P2)

Averages per FOS area

Mean load per FOS area, by facility and district-wide.

FOS per facility & techs per FOS

Inspectors reporting to each FieldSuper (FOS), and FOS per facility. Load-per-tech uses P1 load.

How the estimates are computed

A. Added techs = ΣFOS ( ⌈new P1 load ÷ load-per-tech⌉ − ⌈current P1 load ÷ load-per-tech⌉ )

B. Additional crews = [ Σjob type ( sites × jobs-per-site × hours-per-job ) + travel ] ÷ hours-per-crew-season

travel = Σsection ( round trips × 2 × one-way drive time )

Click a section on the map to add/remove it; hold Shift and drag a box to add many. Every number in the equations is shown in the tables below and updates live.

Estimate A — load per tech

Estimate B — ADDITIONAL crews needed (2001 Workload Study method)

site counts × jobs-per-site (live, from actual treatments) × hours-per-job (editable, 2001 study defaults) ÷ hours-per-crew-season = ADDITIONAL crews to service the selected area at P1 intensity (the study's expansion figure — not a facility total, and not net of current P2 effort). A crew = 1 FOS + its inspectors.

Drive time (added to the hours pool): each promoted section is driven this many round trips per season. Set trips to 0 to exclude travel (e.g. if the hours-per-job above already include drive time).
